building a NA 2v is easy.. All you do is bolt together a bunch of parts and leave it alone...

No maintaing, no breaking of parts, not alot of stuff to worry about..

You guys have it all backwards, NA is about the easiest most trouble free thing to do...

Building a high horsepower blower car, or turbo car is where it starts to get difficult, not only are you dealing with the motor, but you have all the associated supercharger pieces to get working together.. Then look at the fact that youneed a better suspension, better drivetrain, and your dealing with aftermarket fuel systems, ignitions, and any other little things to get the car to hold up and make power..

ITS A PAIN IN THE ***.

A mild N/A setup will always be easier, but really a fairly stock (minor bolt on) car with a Vortech, making 390rwhp seems fairly reliable and really no hassle.

Over winter im saving for my vortech setup, i started wanting N/A. However that path was a harder path IMO. it is impressive and if that is the path you want to go down that is awesome, I'll give you props!
In my case, I started with a few bolt ons like LT's and O/R H and tried to stay away from mods that would prevent me from selling parts I just got (UD pulleys).

Good luck with your build, let me know how it turns out

i don't understand how you guys think people will be impressed. sure they will to an extent, but if its constantly getting beat people aren't going to be that impressed. kind of like a cool you spent a lot of money to be slower than me kind of thing.

i don't know about you guys, but around my area and local forum everything is speed based. it's really not a big deal how you got there.

I agree, you also have to realize that yeah, maybe you can build a decent n/a 2v mustang, say you get it marching into the low 12's with supporting mods, you have to realize your competition at that level as well. Yes, it would be awesome to see that take down some rice or undeserving car, but it will be beat on a regular basis by blown cars. If you are getting your *** kicked at the track, people aren't gonna care. Then when you tell them "well I spent $7k getting this car to this level." All they are gonna say is " coulda gone f/i for that coin"

Yeah, old school, big block power is awesome because they also can back it up. Someone with that amount of dough under the hood still running slow *** times is approaching rice territory.

becase to some people its not ALL about speed down the track. to SOME ppl its about the wrokmanship and the thought and effort put into a car.

if someone can hang with blown cars N/A then ill go talk to that guy with the N/A setup and give him credit because everyone else just went blown right off the bat.

IF speed and HP and cost is all your going on then by all means go blown and be done with it. i dont disagree one bit.

I see your point (and to each their own of course) but 99% of everyone want's the best bang for the buck...period! Only a select very few will really care weather the car is n/a or not. I've had so many people be very impressed by my little 2 valve, and could care less that i used nitrous to make it happen.

I understand your argument, but I just don't find it very applicable to a 2v 4.6. If we were talking 351w here, then definitely... but the 2v is never really going to be all the impressive N/A.

actually you missed the boat, the op was saying that he would rather have a high HP NA motor vs a blown car... we are telling him you arent going to get HIGH #'s from a NA 2v so dont waste your time and money...LOL unless your goal is 300 hp but thats not high by any means
