Default quick hood scoop question!

So i was looking at the stickies and was suprised to find that you can ad a GT hood scoop on a 2000 V6 car such as mine.

First of all does anyone have the last 2 remaining pictures that are currently disabled? It would be a huge help!

writeup here:

Second which ebay store are you guys using? i found this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000-...#ht_3734wt_958

and i found this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/01-02...#ht_2303wt_958

But it seems that this does not match my red! I believe my red is named "performance red" its the very bright red, not the ruby looking metallic one. does anyone know of good ebay shop where i can find it in my color or unpainted? im having some trouble. Also some of these scoops say 01' and up. But it will still fit as long as i follow the guide correct?

my car:

Didn't really look at what you posted, but I added the scoop to my car. Someone local sold a black one to me for $60. I just measured out the holes, drilled them and screwed it on. Doesn't lay completely flat in some areas tho.

Here's a photo of the underside of a GT hood scoop that might be helpful. There are 7 threaded studs, and two locating pins (one in the center back, and another to the left of the front center fastener.

the hood minus the scoop is the exact same. your hood is identical to my hood except mine has holes drilled into it with a fake scoop screwed to the top. if i unbolted the scoop you'd see that my hood is exactly like yours with the fake scoop sitting under the other fake scoop and everything. so yes all u gotta do is drill some holes and slap the scoop on because your hood is identical to one with a scoop...it just doesnt have teh scoop.

just check your paint code on your door jam.

Hmm... I know what the paintcode and what the name of my color is, but most of these shops on ebay dont give me a paint code. they just indicate the color is "red". I may just have to buy it and cross my fingers that it matches haha.

Im guessing if i did buy the correct color a body shop should be able to do this for relatively cheap (50$ or under maybe?) Im too uncomfortable drilling holes into my hood, especially when the writeup has a few missing pictures.

Just buy one unpainted and have your bodyshop paint it to match and then have them install it.

i would highly advise against that. there are all kinds of different shades of red and you would be taking a huge chance. there is a very good possibility that it will not match, which would look terrible.
