Default Wheel Bearings

Well once again ive got problems.. the rear wheel bearings decided to give up on me so i need to replace them. I have a company here in town that i can get a good discount thru on bearings if i have the # off the box. They can cross ref any bearing # so it doesnt matter as long as its a name brand. My issue is that i cant figure out if the car has an inner and outer bearing in the rear? its a 99 gt with 8.8 rear end. anyone with info is greatly appreciated especially with bearing numbers

thanks
Geoff

The axle shaft is supported by a bearing on the outside (wheel) end of the housing, and by the differental carrier on the inside end.

At the outside the axle shaft is ground to provide an inner race for the roller bearing, there is no replaceable inner race...

The Timken part number for the direct replacement is 5707. Timken also makes a repair bearing with tha built-in seal that can be used if the axle bearing and sealing surfaces are worn--it's p/n TRP1563TAV.
