Default Shelby/Scott Drake hood pins on 01??

Has anyone installed the Shelby/Scott Drake hood pins ("made for 05-09's) on an earlier model, such as the new edges?!? It says they can be "adapted for earlier years" and I was wondering what the heck that could mean!!!!! These are really the only hood pins I can tolerate (besides the twist ones that I can't find installation instructions on), so I'd REALLY like to use them if it's not a huge "adaptation."

For reference, I have an 01 Cobra and recently bought a carbon fiber ViS CobraR hood because my stock one flew up on me and totalled it.

Here's one with installation instructions for 05-09: http://www.mossmuscle.com/Shop/ViewP...61&SortOrder=1

And I can't find the site again that mentioned about "adapting" them, but if I do, I'll post it later.

Exactly...like what the heck would be different??? Does it just mean you don't use the mounting brackets?! ugh

And this isn't the first website I saw that said they can be adapted, but here's an ebay auction that says it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT Those, of course, are the ones that DON'T say Shelby though.

For anyone else who's considering these pins, this is the answer i got from the ebay seller: "Yes, you just don't use the brackets and they are the same as most other hood pin kits out there. The overall length of the pins is 4 inches."

I ordered Steeda pins a few days ago but if I don't like them, I'm ordering the ones from ebay.

Just fyi if anyone is interested, I DID install the Scott Drake hood pins on my 01 Cobra with a ViS Cobra R carbon fiber hood (which apparently is the most popular hood around here because I've seen 3 others within 15 miles!). Anyways, if anyone needs any help or would like photos, just message me! I LOOOOVE them. Couldn't imagine junking up my hood with anything else. Definitely worth the $100+ price tag.
