I think it would be fun to have remote start so I could screw with people... lol I can just imagine someone standing by my car knowing it's empty... Then all the sudden my car starts with my loud *** exhaust, that would be awesome

 

Lol..If you don't have remote start here in Alaska your life would suck! My beater doesn't have it but thankfully the fusion does. As far as it not being good to idle the motor, I have no choice some times. When it's -40*F or colder, you have to let the car run a little bit because all the tranny fluid is thick and on the edge of frozen solid, as is oil, power steering fluid, brake fluid you name it! If you don't have nitrogen in your tires (wich I failed to do this winter) you can't even turn your wheels more than a hair during the first 2 minutes or so of driving or you will lose all air pressure in the front tires. Hell, the tires have a frozen flat spot for about the first 1-2 miles that makes it feel like you have square tires lol. I worship my remote start But I also try and drive it enough to get rid of any harmful deposits that might form before shutting down.

 

I think i just need to take the car to the dealer and get some code work done...
