Next project??

I'm going to drive this car A LOT. It will hit SCCA track events several times a year and I will keep the car at least 80% on the road during the build and will be my primary driver from spring till fall. My biggest issue with my 96 was that I was always so nervous to drive it anywhere for fear of the paint and there was always so much down time because of one reason or another between projects.
The next car will have the primary built engine siting on a stand and it's not going in until I can swap it over one weekend and get back to driving.
In the order of importance on the next build will be:

In the order of importance on the next build will be:
- The Drive line (It doesn't matter how it looks if it isn't reliable.)
- Floors, 200lbs of dynomat, lol.
- Body work (No paint) welding, rust, flares etc.
- Even coats of primer
- Suspension & chassis
- Then full on custom interior. I finally get to put my Jedi MECP master skills to work along with a 100% custom dash and center console. (You can't do that with new cars, it just looks tacky.)
- Paint? We don't nee don't stinkin paint. But it will be "single stage" 57 Ford Raven black with some subtle custom design.

You're aware i've got divorce papers and I will have to serve your *** if you get the Datsun right? I think it would be stellar if we had a gearhead of your excellence with a brand new 5.0 in 2011. Get it done and take a big ole **** right on those Vettes.

My dad's 08 Shelby with just over 1k miles is for sale...lol but i would go with the 65 stang with the new 5.0 swapped into it...you'll already have the power you want and the motor is already lighter than the 4.6 DOHC is. So you'll have a reasonably agile car that has some power and has some room to grow if you want to get aggressive with the tune and what not and race suspensions are easily had for that kinda car.
