Skip the gt and get a cobra

 

Trust me i am considering getting a cobra, im always on svt performance as well as this site. Its just that im trying to figure out if i really need a cobra to have the fun i want or would a gt vert with bolt-ons do the job.

 

I'd rather buy a GT and opt in for a junk yard cobra motor.. can get it rebult and do a swap for the price it would cost to just buy the cobra in the first place.. only difference is you can control what the guy does when he rebuilds it.

 

Thanks man, but i guess in the end im just kinda trying to talk myself into a auto gt because i want it to be a dd, and im in southern california where im almost always in bumper-bumper traffic. (Also i know i could get a MACH 1 but i want a vert )

Anyways guys thanks for all the help. I want to ask you guys roughly with all the boltons what could i expect to get at the engines hp if i were to go with,

Full exhaust.
Pulleys.
CAI.
Throttle body & Plenum.
Gears.
Dyno tune.

I keep thinking about upgrading exhaust on my 01 GT but I am worried that it will get extremely louder.

 

Yeh when i had my 99 i had slp lm1's and x pipe and it was pretty loud.
