a V6 enthusiast told you that more then likely. I had 2 new edge v6's , one a fully built 3.8 from Morona Racing with a 75 shot. Yeah I love that car but I only made around 275 Hp and my GT will always > both of them. Now as far as reliability them cars are great, 200k miles duty rated and decent on gas you cant go wrong for a Daily driver but as far as performance dont waste your money unless you want the shell for a 4.6 swap.

Yeah but that money into a GT you will produce better numbers with a average MPG only lessing like 2 or 3. The 4.6 has more potential , trust me.

I agree that's why I didn't buy the sixxer plus it'll never sound as nice as the GT. But I have to admit I do like the set up. I think if you can buy a new edge sixxer for like $3k with relativly low miles, drop an eaton on top of it an just do some suspension, exhaust, wheels, other bolt ons it'd be good to go. Especially since most of the people on here daily drive there cars I think that's more of a practical set up. As opposed to a V8 with a blower on it getting somewhere around 8mpg city driving...I dunno just like the guys set up...on the sixxer its real nice

I agree with a 3k sixer with a cheap blower for a daily driver is nice, but new edge GT's go for like 5k with 100k + miles and with a $1500 Vortech setup you cant go wrong either. I know people getting 22MPG with there blown 4.6's, My uncle has a 00 GT with a paxton and he averages 18 MPG when he is not serving over east.

Where can you get a vortech set up for $1500 ? Cheapest I've heard of is $2500-3k EDIT I just went on the Vortech website it's more like $4-5k

Well, there is a thread claiming 1500 bucks but it end up costing between that and 3k depending on how you shop around. I got a good deal on a vortech head unit plus some from a member who had killer setup on here , the blower is like new and plus I have most of what I need to make it work for under 2k. Without a Intercooler it will cost me around $2400 with the tune, when I add a Paxton I/C it will end up running me 3.2k for a nice Vortech setup.

well yeah see around $3k used for everything to be in your car installed and running. I'd personally never drop thousands and thousands of dollars into my stang. I love it don't get me wrong, but at the end of the day it's still a Ford that was $25k retail...and now worth $5k or less....I wouldn't put more into the car then it's worth. I like it with just bolt ons, maybe a PI swap, headers, lowering springs and rims...but that's the extent I will prolly take mine to. If I want serious performance man I'll buy a C5 vette for like $12k used throw on a few bolt on's and call it a day.

Elahhh.... Im Bleed blue man. I would drop 100k in my GT if I have the funds and chit all over that vette lol. But its all in preference and about only 40% of my kit is used, the head unit, bracket and such. Everything else new, In the hobby of auto performance used is not always bad.
