Default Trading the 02 GT

I need some opinions. I have an 02 GT with pretty much full bolt ons, only downside is its an auto. I cant stand it anymore. So...I'm getting rid of it. I have found 2 different S197s that I really like, I just dont really know enough about the new ones to make a good decision. So heres the options...

1) 2007 Shelby GT. White with silver stripes. 5 spd. 5,279 miles.

2) 2006 Saleen. Non-SC 16,151 miles. 5 spd. Red w/ chrome wheels.

Benifit of one over the other? Opinions on both? There is about a 6k price difference between the two, which I'm not particularly worried about. I've always liked the Shelby GTs, yet the new Saleens are just sex on wheels IMO. So...I'm torn.

HELP.

Well being a past S197 gt owner, I can tell you that the 3v responds nicely to mods. Just remember, pretty much any "power" upgrade you put on the car you need a tune. What you need to do is go test drive both and see which you like better. You are the one buying the car, not us. The are both equal in power, with maybe the saleen having 10hp more, and IMO a lot better suspension.

Problem with test driving them is they are roughly 300+ miles away from me. I wont buy it without test driving it, but I'm not driving that far more than once lol.

Shelby for sure. The backends of the Saleen are just too big, it really throws off the front to rear body portions to me. Besides, the Shelby has much cleaner look to it. The only thing I don't like about the SGT models are the wheels- but they are easy changed to the GT500 ones.

This guy also swapped out the grille too. Not sure about that one.

I think either one would be a great choice. Just sit on it for a week or so, then make a move for the one you like.

Why not just get an 03 cobra I would imagine that both cars are about the same price as a cobra would be
