Well nitto makes the NT01's in 315 30 18's as well as 275 35 18's so you coulda went there. And I have 18x10.5 wheels which should have a 305-315 width but a 10" width only needs a 295 width to be perfect. And with a 275 35 front you would be doing pretty good with size and you would have a slight rake which everyone loves. Just sayin. lol

It looks really good.

Originally I wanted an 18" wheel, but after browsing AM, they only make the FR500's in 18x10 (as opposed to the 17", which you can get 17x10.5. I believe the recommended tire width was something like 285? And with the 18x9 in the front, the recommended tire width for a New Edge is 275.

So I want like a 305+ in the back. So my choices right now look like this:

A) 18x10 w/ 285/35/18 (rear) ... 18x9 w/ 275/35/18 (front)

B) 17x10.5 w/ 315/35/17 (rear) ... 17x9 w/ 275/40/17 (front)

After looking at some cars, I really think 18" is the way to go on a New Edge, so what can I do?

What tires are you gonna get? You can always get the tires somewhere else and they do make a 305 35 18 in nittos and they also make 315 30 18's in a few other manufactures. Buy wheels at AM and buy the tires at the local tire shop.

Thanks for the info teej. Should I run the 275 in the front, though? I'm new to Mustangs, but that seems awfully wide for a front tire.

I'm going to check out the Nitto's.

EDIT: Not sure what tires I'm going to get yet, just trying to find the right sizes. I looked at Nitto's website, couldn't find any 315/35/18's. The only tire I could find in that size was a Kumho cheater-slick.

You dont want a 315 35 18...that would be a like 28" tall tire and you dont want that. Now I would suggest the Nitto INVO in a 295 35 18 if youre into just street driving or the NT05 in that same size if youre looking to do performance driving. You really dont need any more tire with less than 400rwhp as long as you get the right tire choice. So I would run 295 35 18 out back and either 265 or 275 35 18 on the front.

Thanks man, I read your earlier post and came to that conclusion. Thanks for the help. I think I'm going to run a 265 in the front, and a 295 in the back, for a more staggered look.
