I'd like to get stationed overseas, like I said. Not really too particular. There's a whole world out there, and now seems like a good time to try and see it. I just want to get the hell out of Missouri.

What sort of work do you do in the AF?
oh open mechanical huh thats good. at basic when you get there you at some point i forget when you put down your jobs you prefer and what bases you prefer to go to. they will take that into consideration but they will put you in what job they need you. then during your tech school about half way through you should learn what base your first duty station will be at.

i came in to basic with a 2a5x3 integrated avionics promised as my job. they shreded me to integrated avionics: electronic warfare. i can work on any cargo plane, bomber or helicopters in the air force. my squadron works on hh-60g pave hawks. you'll have great life experiences in the military. just know theres alot of bull **** that comes along with it. at the end of the day i love what i do.

some soldiers go to basic and ait and get to their units and try to buy new cars bc of the new pay they are getting which isnt really much until you get like 4years in and alot of soldiers try to get married bc you get bah $950+ and bas $250 on top of what you are already getting paid so alot of soldiers go after that extra money but end up with a spouse that furthers their debt on top of getting new cars. any new private that we got into the units we would have to sit them down and counsel them about not going out there and getting into some new car deal. work with what you have and continue to save after time in you will see that point clearly control the money dont let it control you

Yuo have a 2002 GT, you're younger than me. Save all you can, brah. Use it for a house or something when you get back. If you bought a 2011 now, you'd be paying money on a car that won't be brand new when you get out. Save and heck, even invest.

I'm actually from Columbia. I lived in Ashland during highschool, which is on 63 right between Columbia and Jeff City.
