1999 Gt Vert. 5.4L Navi swap. Ideas?
Well, Ill start off by stating that I have yet to find a decent FAQ on the subject (every link for the "5.4 swap bible" that i find is down or missing) and after much searching, have decided to risk the chance of public ridicule (okay just kidding cause mustang people are nice an dont flame like GM people hahaha, jkkkk)
Anyhow, I have decided to swap in a 5.4L DOHC 4V out of the 99'^ Navi into my humble vert GT; a daunting task to comprehend from the start, but nonetheless quite possible, and also confirmed as such by the numerous youtube videos of mustangs tearing up pavement with said swap completed.
I am just trying to compile a list of what may be needed besides the engine (of course) to complete the swap and be happily cruising down the road
I am in the process of talking to a local mustang guru here in Winston. It seems as if it isnt possible to pass emissions with this swap completed? Thats not really a huge deal for me for several reasons, one being that a county over from mine doesnt require emissions testing, I know, lucky me, hahaha. Anyway, I am pretty set on doing a 5.4 4V and will quite possibly try and compile a good FAQ as my ride progresses for those who are on the same journey as I.
Anyone who knows info on this task, (whats needed, etc) PLEASE, please please, put in your 2cents.
Thanks ahead of time,
-Grimm

Intakes and headers are expensive issues with this swap. Its either the Aussie, Sullivan, or weld a Cobra upper to a Navi lower. Other option is a roots blower style like the Shelby. Its not a cheap motor to build, I would price everything out before starting it.
