Question carburator cleaner in the intake

is it harmful to pull the intake tube off, open the throttle up and spray carb cleaner around in the throttle body and down the throat of the throttle body into the intake and then start it up to try to smooth out the idle and clean things up a bit. i heard on the older carbed vehicles you would do this till it stalled, let it sit for a min then fire it on up. is that safe to do on these fuel injected vehicles? any input is welcome!!!

Yeah I dont think its safe to use on a car with fuel injection, it should say that on the back of the can. Go to a part store and they should have tb cleaners there.
