wherever you take it to for the gear swap make sure you get a rear end install kit with new bearings ... seals ... new fluid too all since it going to be opened up

Yep, H/X pipes are bolt on... just stay away from pypes... my pypes needed some welding done... and gears are a pain if you do not have that much experience.

+1 its just a bolton.

gears depends on your area. see if you can contact some forum members who live near you and see where they got theirs done at and find the cheapest place. theres some writeups but gear install can be very tricky especially if you've never done it before.

some people only have to pay a couple hundred, but where i (used to live atleast) the cheapest quote i got for install ONLY (since i already had my gears, fluids, and bearing/seal kit) was 500$.

UDP are a waste.. that is unless you would like to purchase a set that I have for sale... then I would consider that to be an amazing idea.
