I asked and they suggested the second hook for a stock cable (what I have). I wonder how much of a diff these make...It's like the stock shifter, if you never switch to a better one you never know how much the stock one sucks.

So correct me if I'm wrong but if the cable itself is too loose then the clutch will be "too engaged" and wear down and if the cable is too tight then the clutch will be slightly pulled away and disengaged?
