From personal experience, I would not reccommend matching an O/R X-pipe with chambered (Flowmaster) mufflers. I did it for two days on my car before I had high flow cats welded in to get rid of the terrible resonance at my cruising rpms of 2000rpms. An O/R H-pipe sounds good with chambered mufflers and as mentioned above, the RWHP difference is 1 or 2 at the most. I would not chose the mid pipe based on any perceived difference in power. If you decide to run an O/R X-pipe, go with a straight thru type muffler.

Youtube can be helpful, but be aware of what other mods (exhaust or otherwise) have also been done to the car in the clip.

A friend of mine said h pipes would give more of a boost in hp than x pipe but when i read from other peoples posts they say the opposite
The x does make more power but IT IS Minimal but 2 is bigger than 1 lol. but if you want the best sounding midpipe to go with a chambered muffler I wouldnt recommend an o/r x pipe T H will sound better/deeper with the chambered muffler. I did it myself for awhile with the o/r x and flows but ended up putting on hi flow cats and that cleaned the sound up alot. You will get a bigger number on the dyno with the x pipe een though it may not be Much higher than the H. H for the sound!
