Sooo.... today my car just got rodknock FUUUUUU... i dont wanna rebuild it i just wanna get a new motor in there and be ready to go.
anyway i am wondering weather to put the police interceptor motor or just do the the original motor. will i be losing HP or gaining i heard the P71 heads flow really good i just want some input so im not loseing any hp.

you need to bitch slap who ever told you P71 heads flow good. A P71 engine is just a normal CV engine. And the CV P71 did not get the PI until the 2001 MY.

 

well the motor im looking at is out of a 2001 CV sooooo... what do you guys recommend i do i want more power or the same that i had before im not looking at doing the 32 valve swap either

nip motor..put ur PI heads on it with the added compresssion and a set of used cams from MHS for like $300

IMO snag a 96-98 bottom end from a GT and use that. Higher compression owns for n/a.
