Default Which Shocks and Struts are the best bang for the buck?

Hey all, I am ordering Eibach pro line springs for my 96 GT Convertible. I have just completely redone this car, new paint, interior etc. I have spent a lopt of money and now I need shocks and struts so I am wondering what brand will get me value and a ride improvement. I have always hated how rough the car rides. I will spend the extra cash if the ride improvement will be susbstantial on a top brand. Thanks in advance for any advice. The guy at the shop seemed to think my ride would be well improved just with the Eibach springs and cheapy monroe shocks\struts.

I installed the KYB adj struts/shocks in my 02 GT vert. They work great compared to the OEM ones. Also, when i go to the track i can loosen up the front ones for a little better weight transfer.

I would "like" this post if you could on this forum. Lol bilstein hd's do wonders for ride quality. I have them on my car and it rides like a dream for how agressive the spring rates are for my coilovers.

Is the Eibach Pro-Damper Set kit essentially the shocks and struts meant specifically for use with Eibach Pro line springs? The set is 420$ on tirerack.com but the KYBs are considerably cheaper.
