Default O/R Midpipe

I am about to install my o/r midpipe and I have a question...what else do I need? I have the midpipe only. Do I need extenders or anything else?

no. you only need extensions when you do longtube headers. if you dont have mil eliminators or a tuner, you will get a CEL for cats not functioning. the CEL will not affect your car in any way shape or form other than CEL is lit up. you can make your own MIL elims for about 5 bucks from radio shack if you have novice level soldering/heat shrinking skills.

your wires MAY be a hair too short to reach the 02's but if you just pull the tie-wrap out of the chassis it will give you extra room thats what i did (you can of course buy 40$ extensions or solder extra wire in but you dont need to).

just my two cents, but since you will already have your midpipe off, I would also replace the exhaust flange gasket thats on the passenger side exhaust manifold. They are really flimsy and you don't want to risk having an exhaust leak once you put the O/R midpipe on. Just talking from experience. When I replaced my midpipe, the exhaust gasket wasn't in the best shape. Some people keep the old ones on and some people replace them, it's up to you. You can get one at your local autozone for about $7.00. Heres a link to what i'm talking about.

I don't think anyone wants to see the check engine light on after you
install longtubes even though it doesn't have a affect on your mustang.

When I installed mine everyone told me to just replace the passenger side gasket. I bought one just because it was so cheap. My old one was fine but I replaced it anyway and that was all I needed. I got MIL eliminators a couple months later because the check engine light was really bothering me.
