Personally, no matter where you live I'd rather see you go with a quality product over something like a BBK or a MAC header. Both are cheap routes that lay down the numbers, but for what it takes to get them in, I'd rather not have to take them out any time soon. Also, most of more expensive headers, I believe, are designed to allow you to drop the tranny without removing them, I don't know if I can say the same for the cheaper options. I'm leaning towards a turbo for my car now, but if I were to go with a blower or nitrous I'd either be using Kooks or Stainless Steel Works.

You should know that whenever you ask MFers whether to do gears or XX, everyone will suggest gears.

But for headers, the stock ones are actually one thing that Ford did well with on our cars. Not going to notice much unless you go with long tubes. I've thought about it too, but just can't justify going LTs when I already have a sweet mid pipe.

When it comes time to get long tube headers make sure and get a brand you can drop your trans without having to take a header off.
