Will any purge kit fit NX lighting solenoids? or do you have to buy the one through NX? And also whats the best way to maintain both fuel and nitrous solenoids?

I had a Zex purge kit with my NX kit so I'm guessing they are universal.

Did you have the lightning solenoids? Or do you think it matters

No I had the Iceman solenoids. From my understanding the nitrous solenoids have a 1/8 NPT fitting on them that connects to the purge valve. You use a -4an line to connect the N20 solenoid to the purge valve.

So if you wanted to you could use the Zex purge kit with the Lighting solenoids.

That's how I did it, I have a t fitting right before my zex box nitrous inlet side with a short nitrous line running to my purge solenoid.

Something you can do to help minimize the wear and tear on the nitrous solenoid is to bleed off all the line pressure after each run. Just close the bottle and hit the purge until the line is clear.

ok thanks guys i was just making sure before i bought the purge kit that it would work. And ok thanks tim. And then when i open the bottle just purge it again to get nitrous back in the line correct? And is it safe to run injector cleaner with the solenoids? Or will that mess them up in any way?

I haven't used injector cleaner, but I have used some Torco fuel additives and it didn't seem to effect the solenoid operation.

If you are really worried about keeping debris out of them, you should get one of these for both the nitrous and fuel solenoid.
