Its a arming switch in your car (toggle switch basiclly). All it does is completes the circuit, so when u go wide open throttle, that hits that switch and sprays the nitrous.

I hope that makes since.

The window switch controls what rpms the nitrous sprays at.

Ah gotcha. Trying to learn as much as I can about this stuff. Never really looked into nitrous much even though I've heard almost all the terms for it.

Beyond the basic kit the only thing you'll really need to make it run consistent is a bottle heater. Although i'd personally do a window switch and a nitrous pressure gauge if it were me. You'll need different plugs as well.

Josh.Davis nailed the flip switch description. With my setup i have a dual custom dyno tune. One for n/a and one for nitrous. All my switches are in my cup holder. So how that works is say i'm tooling along and someone want's to race, all i do is hit my arming switch (that instantly pulls me from n/a to nitrous tune) floor it, and haul a$$. For me it's the only way to go. I couldn't stand having to pull over and load a nitrous tune everytime i wanted to race or feel the extra power.

Don't get me wrong i'd much prefer a blower overall, but for the money i'm very happy with the nitrous. That and the fact that it runs stronger than most blown stock internal 2 valves. Another thing i kind of like is that i get to keep my n/a cams (mine won't work well with a blower) and get that nice choppy n/a cam sound.

Thanks for that added description of the switch. I now fully understand how that works. Sounds like a very good idea. So I take it you run around town with the bottle connected? I would love to cam my Mach but that takes some major $$$$$$$$$

Dont forget about a fuel pump! Youll need a "bigger" fuel pump to run the nitrous as well. Thats what everyone has told me atleast. If you want to go as safe as possible, you could also run a fuel pressure safety switch. Makes sure your car gets enough fuel and doesnt run lean.

Would a Focus fuel pump work?

Yep i run around with the bottle connected, and usually open.

As long as you're not running a big shot, the stock fuel pump should be okay. It's certainly never a bad idea, but probably not necessary.

I hear ya on the cams. $1200 or so just for the cams alone kind of makes it not such a good bang for the buck lol.

Hammach, listen to these guys. They all really know what they are talking about. I am currently getting my car on the spray and mrt has helped me the whole time. MRT will it hurt the motor if i just run on a nitrous tune all the time? Even when i am not using nitrous?

If you plan on pulling a little timing, it won't hurt the motor, but it won't perform well n/a either. You most definitely should have separate tunes for n/a and nitrous if you want maximum performance.

Some will say that the stock timing is fine on a 100 shot, but i'm not going to recommend it.
