Don't you also need larger injectors to run E85? You need more of it. It is not a direct substitution for regular gasoline.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong on that, but I don't want guys mistakenly trying to run some E85 in their car without appropriate supporting mods.

Correct you do need more fuel with E85 as there is not as much energy per unit.

+1, Besides 100+ octane smells awesome. I like to run a little with each fill up to help avoid detonation. I use to put a little in my bike once in a while just for the smell alone. It's the simple things in life that I enjoy.

I have ran up to 25% ethanol per volume with out noticing a required difference in my injector pulse width or MAF curve to change my tune... hell the fuel in my area already has 10% ethanol. So you could run a few gallons of E85 with out freaking out.

As I mentioned in my first post, to run 100% E85, it has to be tuned for. It requires around 20-40% for fuel (depending on throttle input) because of its storich ration of 9.76:1. So you have to ensure your fuel system can handle the increase of fuel requirements.

i run vp ms109 and now add m1 when i'm in boost (via Alky control alcohol injection). it defiantly makes more power. Some advice, for nitrous, boost, anything, is best NOT TO RUN HEAVLY OXYGENATED FUEL with out stepping pressure up to keep the a/f ok. For power with nitrous you need to ditch the 02 sensors and cats and make sure you can support leaded fuels, they have few just for nitrous in leaded.
