Default fuel pump question

ok so i got the ford gt pump, in prep for the sc, of which i now have everything but the injectors and maf. In any case what i was wondering was if i could splice in the new fuel pump and still use the car without changing anything, so that way i can get that phase out of the way while i wait for the money to do the rest. Cliffk youd be a big help here?

I thought the Ford GT pump wouldnt fit the new edge or you needed to mod to fit (return style I believe 99-04s?)?But could be wrong
I know the Focus SVT pump drops right in the Mustang GT fuel bucket with no mods needed and its 255LPH.

I Have that pump in my 99 GT now for future F\I

as far as i know it fits fine, but you do have to splice the wire harness and cant run below a 1/4 tank. i was gonna do the svt focus pump but ive heard of people having issues as low as 400rwhp, and im shooting for 425 with the want to push it more once i have the engine upgrade.

99-04 are returnless, 96-98 return style.

I dono about the gt pump but I had my svt focus pump in both of my cars before f/i to prepare for it. I haven't had any problems with my focus pump yet with over 400hp.
