Default Symptoms of ****ty gas?

Yesterday I went and got gas at a local big name brand gas station. When I left to head to work, I noticed the car felt kind of weird when accelerating to the speed limit (car is a 5 speed, drove it like a ***** at the time). Kind of felt like the engine shuttered or there was hesitation when accelerating from 1200 to 2000ish. The A/C was on, and I turned it off to see if it helped, which it did but the car still felt kind of ****ty.

Think this could be bad gas? If so would adding fuel stabilizer, octane booster, and/or fuel injector cleaner help? How about higher octane fuel (94+)? The car has maybe a quarter tank left so I could just drive it out. I did not try to go WOT or get too aggressive with the throttle to see if it pings or not.

Go put some sunoco gas in it when it gets down more. Sounds like either clogged fuel filter, bad gas, bad plugs, or maybe the fuel pump is on its way out.

Plugs are original I think...its got ~85k miles on it. Just the timing of it all seemed like its bad gas but I just changed the fuel filter earlier this year dammit...

Will put in new gas and change the filter soon.

I'd do plugs too. Some NGK TR55's will run you like $20 for all 8. At 85k, I'd be replacing them anyways.

Also, could be a coilpack going out. Happened to me. Feels sluggish and down on power and hesitates and shudders a bit. Try throwing a code reader on there too.

New fuel filter will go on tomorrow morning...the car does not feel like it lost power throughout the rpms but it still hesitates at around 1500 rpms and sometimes when i shift into 2nd or 3rd gear with the hammer down. I still have not yet tried beyond like 4500 to see if it pings or shutters.

Plugs will be replaced eventually....does anyone know the recommended torque specification? 12-14 ft/lbs? Use anti-seize?

I would definitely recommend anti seize. And I always put em in hand tight then do 1/4 turn with a socket and that's enough.
