Lightbulb 03' Maintenance Schedule @ 80k+ Miles

Just recently bought a 03' GT with 78k miles on it. The owner 'babied' the car, it looks amazing. I was just curious from here on out common problems/maintenance issues from here on out to expect. Yeah ford.com has the scheduled tune-ups and what not, which is easy to follow. Obviously oil every 5k/4months. Thanks in advanced.

Seafoam it if it was babied. You can find youtube videos on how to do it. It removes the deposits on the internals and cleans everything out. Plus its a cool smoke show. Many people here will say dont bother, but my first motor was babied and it got carbon knock 2100 miles after I got the car. Sounded like a rod bearing went out. So I suggest doing it for ya. I really dont think that there is anything that need's to be done really. If you feel like it, a trans flush and coolant flush might be an idea to toss around. A new set of plugs and I think you'll be good to go! Also, when the miles start getting up there, the clutch pack in the differential start to wear so a rebuild might keep you from one wheel wonder burnouts. Just some stuff to think about. None of it is really necessary, but always a good thing to be aware.

Welcome to the forums! Do some reading and searching around to get used to the site. And when you get a chance, post up some pictures!
