proxes tq vs r888's
Need new tires this summer, and i wanna try the toyo's this time around. I know the r888's are more of a road racing tire but i've heard numerous people say they work very well for all traction. anyone with either tire, how many miles about do you get out of them and whats the rain driving like? this is my dd so it's gotta be somewhat safe in the rain. thanks guys!

Ill tell u from personal expereince and not mumbo jumbo reguiritated from other forums, the toyo tq dra radials are garbage. They wear faster than any of the others and they dont hook for ****. Nitto nt555rs hook twice as better. But if you insist i have two 315/35/17 toyo TQs with about 60 percent tread left.

Ive had R888s on the rear for about a year now, about 10,000-12,000 miles out of them. I used to run T1Rs all around but they couldn't handle the tq and i never liked the feedback they'd give entering corners. I just put the new Toyo T1 sports on the front and they are amazing.. Blows away the T1Rs in everything.. As for the R888s they hook almost all the time even b4 heating them in my experience .. i dd with them and get caught in the rain a lot, i work about 40min from my house too so its a long highway drive and I've never had a problem with the R888s slipping from under me as long as your not stupid with them.. I've went up to 110 in the rain with them, accelerated very slow and they hold the road well.. ovb if you floor it its a different story.. I'm actually about to replace my rears in a week or two.. i like the new t1 sports a lot but I'm not sure if they'll be as amazing on the back as the front..but yes back to your question the R888s won't be a problem in the rain, just don't floor it.. lol

i used tq last summer. they tend not to last too long, but they arent suposed to they are drs not street tires. and i disagree i think they hook well. Of course i couldnt tell you how well cuz i was too chicken **** to dump the clutch at 4k to see what happened. But even then outside the track i had a happy amount of traction for every day driving. I put them on my 17s tho, and im almost positive i woulda payed a lot more for the r888

I have r888's in my new wheel setup, but as soon as i put them on i tore my car apart so i havent tried the tires out yet. I will let you know what I think when i drive my car.
The tread pattern on the r888's are pretty cool looking tho. And I have 315's and the tires are about 12" wide, maybe a little wider
