Default Intercooler question....

Ok guys im getting ready to get my intercooler and i just wanna make some things sure. I know some of you guys run CX Racing intercoolers and I just wanna know if you guys had to cut your bumper supports? also is there a core size that fits without cutting the support? I was reading and I think that if you get one that fits you need to get some lines out of the way. Also Kerns sent me the donathen racing bumper support and I'm not sure if you guys use them but just wanna see what you guys think about them. If you guys have any advice or anything let me know. Thanks guys!

We cut my bumper support, but people advise against it. We cut in between the part that mounts to the frame. Any cooler you get that you want to mount between the support and the radiator you will have to move some lines.

Here is what mine looks like.

I moved some lines and mounted it behind the bumper support. its not hard and it looks better IMO (not as close to the bumper)

i went with a treadstone intercooler. cant complain about it! great craftsmanship and good numbers with my blower. i cut it the same way scooter did.

I think u can see these lines but you will need to cut the two hoses, add a union and extend it so u can mount it in the front of the intercooler. we actually drilled a hole in right above where it is now and made a custom mounting bracket so it was out of the way of the intercooler.

I did mine the same as the other pictures and it works great i am running a 35"x12"x3.5" IC. I am running a 3.33" and i am running 11lbs and the numbers in my sig with a power pipe through a auto trans. IMO i wouldnt go with a 3.15" just because thatll put u close to the 450 rwhp "limit" but as long as you have a really good tune you could run a 3.15" no problem just have to really know your tuner

I am running the 3.33 pulley also. Mine has plenty of power and I think I am right around 10 pounds of boost. Once I get the bottum end done I will drop down a couple sizes. I think you are on the right track.
