Question Fuel pump question!!

Hello guys hope you are all doing well I have a question I can't find the answer to maybe you guys could help. I have now a walbro 255 but I want to upgrade to the new walbro 400, for more power. Question is with the 400 bolt up?? Is it just a swap of pumps? Or will I have to do some modification? What do you guys think about this pump? Thanks in advance for all the advice

Fuel pumps dont add power.

Unless you have the mods needed to support it why change from what to have now? 255 on a stock GT is too much already. All it will do it heat up the fuel.

whats your HP? a BAP may be all you need.

and I doubt a 255 would heat up the fuel on a stocker. its overkill, but it doesn't work more than it has to on returnless style systems (new edges)..

I have 400hp now at 9psi but I'm swapping my intake manifold and upping the boost to about 15psi so I don't want the 255 fuel pump I have now to top out at 500 cause I'm sure the car is going to make more

I think a 400lph pump would fry the FPDM as it couldn't keep up with the amps that pump would want.
