First performance mods.
i got 3.73's and a sct tuner. that way i could change the axle ratio and the speedo would be correct. i found out tonight that i shouldve got drag radials for my 15x8 rims. gears will wake the car up but without a thicker tire dont except them to lower your et like i did. you will be putting more power to the ground and the thin sidewall of a 17" tire will not bite, just spin.
as far as exhaust, save up and do the complete system at once, headers (longtube), h or x pipe, and catback. i like the flowmaster super 44s.

The side wall height is NOT a problem. The compound of the tire is the issue. A hard tire with a lot of side wall will not stick either. A radial tire does not wrinkle like a slick, so more side wall does nothing really for grip. I run 275-40-17 DRs at the track and they hook up just fine with 498lb/ft torque from my nitrous set-up.
A taller tire will reduce your gear ratio and subsequently reduce your torque output to the ground.

Tuner and cat back. Can't say anything about gears don't have them yet looking at 3.90 though. Tuner makes a big difference. When I switched back to stock tune from race I wanted to punch myself in the face. I did cai plenum and throttle body first IMO it was a complete waste money
