Default So i bought a built motor, and got screwed on it.

Well me and steve were down my garage getting ready to drop in my built motor i purchased a few months back, the motor was complete and i was assured it was 100% drop in ready to go (2004 cobra shortblock with 96 cobra b heads) all low miles and running. Well any a few weeks back i noticed two of the bellhousing threads on the back of the block were stripped out, ok crap happens i figured they just need helicoiled. Well fas forward today, i tell steve ya know what i better check the threads on the rest of this longblock before i drop it in because when we put my blue valve covers on two of those threads were stripped as well, well low and behold. 4 bellhousing holes are stripped, 12 of the 16 header holes on the head are stripped, 5 of the intake manifold holes are stripped, and god knows what else is stripped. There is no way the seller could of not known of these considering he is the one that removed the engine and the componets that were stripped. I mean this is down right rediculous that all these threads are pulled out I cant understand how it could of even happened. Im so disguisted at this point I dont even know what to do. Lesson to anyone buying used parts, as stupid as it sounds check all the bolt holes prior I just learned the hard way.

This happened to me a few years back, that's why if i'm buying used I buy everything separate and assemble the block myself now. Was one of those the price is to good to pass up kinda deals when I had it happen....
