all the 4.6 blocks except the 03-04 cobras have the same rods. drilling the teksid is easy but not nessesary. some people dont drill them. its for coolent pressure relief and when not drilled, has full flow of coolent. all the blocks will hold what normal people are ever going to through at them. its the rods that break first at around 400-450 rwhp, the pistons are not far behind, the cast cranks are good to around 550 rwhp. in my opinion, leave your motor in the car and drive it and let professionals build you a nice short block
