This. My brother got stuck in the middle of a huge 7+ car pile-up in his old saab and walked away without a scratch. I'd trust my life to a saab.

To OP, glad your friends made it out of that.

I would like to clear some things up here. I'm not saying it wasn't at least mostly his fault the wreck happened, however the road in this corner is always slick and the turn is banked incorrectly. He was over the speed limit no doubt about it.

Nor am I saying a mustang is the safest car out ther. However let's be honest, how many American and most imports can you fishtail into a phone pole and roll the car and get out of the car on your own and only suffer a very minor concussion and normal soreness?

Thanks everyone for the concern. It's always kinda sad to see an otherwise in good shape mustang go out because of an avoidable accident like this.
