Full steel spool all the way. Yeah it makes it drive quite a bit different, and sometimes annoying when you can't manuever a parking lot well due to the city bus turning radius. But overall not that hard to get used to. My car is probably an extreme example of this due to large slicks in back and skinnies up front, but totally worth it.

I have a Strange Engineering spool in my '89. Doesn't cause any problems on the street at all.

I'm going to weld the diff, and see what I think... I'll be upgrading to 31 spline when I build the rear anyways, so my stock diff will most likely just be thrown away... Going to pull it apart, and have a guy at work weld it up for me. I'll let you guys know what I think when the car is on the road! Currently I'm on 275/45/17 nitto 555rs. and am looking for a set of drag wheels and slicks for the rear...
