Yes, they are proud of their prices! When they want 300.00-ish for the cowl that goes under the windshield, and almost double everyone else for the same parts that are made by the same manufacturers.

Dealer services have set hours to do every repair job... It's decided by Ford corporate. Don't get upset at the service person at the counter, they just relay what's on the monitor.

I had a mirror on my work van broken by a deliverly truck. When I picked up the new mirror at FORD dealer I asked how much install was. They wanted $240 to install a mirror that was held on with 3 bolts, nothing electrical. I laughed @ service mgr & installed it myself out side dealership in 15 mins.

Yes it's high, but you figure the avg. shop rate these days is $100 an hour. * 8 hours of work. 800 smackers in no time.
