Default Need Help With Head/Cam Setup

So right now all that's done to my 03 4.6 is a 78mm throttle body and plenum, a steeda cold air intake and a productions performance lower intake. Now I'm looking for a heads/cams setup and I found a deal on some patriot performance stage 2 heads and I want to run some nice cams. The only thing is I need to know what size cams I can run with these heads. Thanks for the help in advance. - here's the info on the heads - Patriot Performance Fully Assembled

Ported PI heads arn't that bad for a mild build but you are very limited on cams. Basiclly a stage 2 cam will run in any PI head. Bigger then that you will have to notch the pistons or get trickflow heads

Maybe somebody here can elaborate a little, but last I was aware Patriot heads were known to have some quality issues, iirc something to do with the valve seats. And I thought Patriot went out of business? Just do your homework before pulling the trigger on those, as there are other options for PI casting heads such as MHS, Fox Lake and MMR which are all known to be good stuff as far as I'm aware. Personally out of those threeI would probably go for MHS.

Otherwise I agree with the comment about TF heads, but you gotta open your wallet up pretty wide for those 'uns.

I second MHS. Very food product and outstanding customer service. Give those guys a call and they'll hook you right up. Also John at CMS has a very good head/cam setup.
