Hey guys, new to the site and Mustangs, but not Fords. I had a 90 Super Coupe that I owned since, full build. I sold that to make room for a 17 GT350, which I just love. The SC still is close as my father and law bought it....anyway.

Helping a buddy at work with 1 2001 GT, his sequential tail lights only work on one side. Before I get into helping him diagnose it, can anybody give me some pointers? Would this have been an add on back then? His car was bought new from the dealer with skirt kit and some minor mods. I have a sequential kit in my 96 Impala SS, so I know its an add on.

Any direction would be great.

It looks like the units might just be added into the factory harness? I see others have had similar issues. Might just be easiest to order a new kit, he want's to do headlights anyway.

looking at this option. Only concern is the aftermarket box controllers inside each taillight. Would I have to cut them out and get the wiring harness back to stock. Anyone have a wiring diagram for the taillights?

 

For that price I'd get new tail lights like the ones in the link below, or for half the price they also have a wiring harness kit.
