So my mom's 04 gt 53k miles, I just replaced the fuel pump twice because I thought the new pump was bad but this is the he same issue after 1st replacement. Original pump was no start at all. It hard starts long crank and then barely catches itself it idles pretty good, except for random near stalls about 10-20 seconds apart but then catches itself. With it running I unplugged maf and it revved up better. A code is set but I don't have a reader. Anyone have any experience with this type of problem.

plug the MAF back in, clear codes, and if it throws a code again get someone with a scanner to check it. we can speculate all day but if you are getting codes thats the first place id check
