4.10 GEARS STUPID???!!!???
You wouldn't short-cut the preparation if you were painting your own house or apartment, would you?
The word here is "patience". Or should have been.

I've got gears installed and also a new set of tires/wheels. I corrected the axle ratio in the tune as well as the revs per mile per the tire manufacturer's website.
For some reason it seems like my mileage has gone down a bit. I was getting close to 18 and now it seems to be slowly dropping on me. I'm down to about 17.7 now according to the car's computer. Not sure what's going on. The speedo/odo should be calibrated correctly. I know I have some additional weight due to the larger wheels/tires but I didn't realize that would make a difference in the mileage.

Larger wheels and tires will make a difference. I lost 2 mpg in my truck when I switched from 18's to 20's. More rotating mass and drag or some technical explanation like that.
In my Mustang - my mpg stayed the same when I switched to 4.10's. It may have improved a tenth - but nothing noticeable.

Hmm maybe that's it. I checked my speed vs. my rpm's and at least according to that spreadsheet floating around here it's pretty close. Cruising at 75mph in 5th the revs are right where they should be. I haven't used a GPS to verify the speedo yet but I will eventually.
I probably would've stuck with the 17s honestly but I got 18s since the tire selection for the 17" rims pretty much sucks ***.

Back to topic on a rolling start the 4.10's eat the 3.55's alive, like bad.
I just had the dealership put FFRP 4.10's in my 08 GT/CS and I have the same problem. I am running on 235/18 tires and when I had the 3.55's I didn't burn that much rubber but with the 4.10's I don't even hook up until I shift into second (I also have Steeda CAI, UDP's, and Brenspeed tune). Is there any advice on how you should take off clutch/gas pedal and what tires do some of you think I should get?

I had no problems getting traction with the stock pirellis and the 4.10 gears. From a rolling start in first I could punch it and it would grab just fine. I could slow roll it to 3000 and stab it no problem. Or I could get it rolling and into gear then punch it at a lower rpm and it was the same.
Could I launch from a dig and just dump the clutch? Ofcourse not. It would spin like crazy. But so would the stock gears.
Maybe my 3200' altitude has something to do with it who knows.
