I have 4:30s with t converter on my 05. I also have a Vortech.
How do you like your 4.30's? I'm looking to put 4.10's with my Roushcharger but I was concerned about having any first gear left when I'm on it.

God knows I don't know what I'm doing. For the record, I've got a set of 4.30's going in my fox very shortly. And I'm concerned that it might not be enough gear.

I would absolutely put 4.10's in an automatic. Then my next mod would be a big *** converter.

I just had my 4:10 gears installed a week ago. They are awesome!! I would definitely make it one of the first mods you do. The only thing I would do before the 4:10 gears is a MAF and a tune. I paid $175 for FRPP gears and $185 for the install.
I have only noticed a 200rpm difference. The push you get in 3rd and 4th is unreal compared to stock 3:55. All of this talk about what top end speed you get seems worthless anyway. How many people actually get up to the max speed of their cars??

My 05 is not stock but the change from stock (3.55 I think) to 4.10 was a good thing. Pulls much harder out of the hole.
No idea what happened to top-end speed.
Mine are Ford gears and there was some noise but that has since been fixed. Of course running w/o cats and a Bonnsai exhaust it is hard to hear much of anything.

I know, I know... but I'm still driving it on the street and much bigger than that really effects drivability (again - wuuuss). -Joe
