Default Picking the right FI clutch.

hey guys, i'll cut to the chase. i have an 2007 GT 5spd with a D-1 procharger. looking to put 500 to 550 hp to the pavement and i need to here the pros and cons on clutch types and brands. will the SPEC aluminum flywheel hold up to that kind of abuse or will i need thesteel one? is cynergy better? who makes the best (price4performance) package? any failed parts and what brands? thanks guys!!

Default RE: Picking the right FI clutch.

I think most guys are running either a spec stage 3 or a centerforce dual friction clutch. Alum flywheel is fine. The specwill only work w/their flywheel, i think the centerforce will work w/ the fidanza flywheel. I think the centerforce works better for a daily driver. The spec seems to be either engaged or disengaged, harder for it to slip for smooth engagement......I'm still running stock clutch, but did some research prior to my s/c install.........
