hehe bumping old threads... well. I was told its because of the.. err.. final drive ratio? something like that.. someone even posted the differences in each gear between the auto/manual tranny... I believe the 3.73 primarily for 1/4 mile times.. I would like to see 2 identical cars with different gears do the 1/4 and get someone's perspective after driving with each, on both highway, intown, street and strip racing.. alas... I fear we wont be able to find anyone with that experience. my plan is to get 3.73 because modaddict told me it was the best for autos.. and if he told me jumping off a bridge would make my car faster, Id do it

I wanted 4.10s so bad but will be getting 3.73s being that I have alot of highway driving in the near future

I don't think I have too much to worry about being that most people do recommend 3.73s for
autos anyways...

You'd be accelerating PRETTY quickly then. I mean 9.8 m/s/s is nothing to laugh at.

lol

well,I just ordered a set of FRPP 4.10 gears+installation kit and if it's a mistake....

then so be it!!~

I seen enough vids on youtube to come to a conclusion that they are the best gear for me (right now at least) and I am pretty sure that the brute acceleration vs gas mileage/highway rpm is all worth it!!~

can't hardly wait for them as well as a new tune![8D]

edit: too many beers while typing lol.
