Default Intercoolers and boost controllers

What is the best intercooler for a twin turbo set up? What about the best boost controllers, whether it be manual or electronic?

You are going to have a hard time finding antyhing but an air to air intercooler for any turbo set up in our cars. There maybe one out there but I haven't seen it yet. Mine is an air to air intercooler and I have had ZERO issues with it. The shop has others running the same system for multiple summers with no issues. It gets into the 110 plus degree heat here. The intercooler issue is a source of great debate here (on the forum)with everyone having an opinion that their intercooler is best because it's what they have.

As far as boost controlers.

I have the GReddy Prospec B2. It's electronic and has two settings. I can change several parameters including gain, set gain, boost alarm, boost limiter and boost amount. I personally think a boost controler is must for any turbo set up. It also acts as a boost gauge. Mine is mounted in the vanity lights on the head liner. Out of sight and easy to adjust.

GReddy makes another that is slightly more expensive. It's designed more for the racer giving you the ability to ramp in boost at different gear shifts etc. Much more complicated but neccessary for competition. I beleive it does some data logging too but I'm not sure.

Controllers....

AMS-500 for your daily driver, and those wanting the most accurate and simple boost control available for when they play at the track or even a little on the street with their turbo charged Stangs.

AMS-1000 for your extreme cars, and high HP racing applications. Used by nearly all of the quickest and fastest turbo Mustangs on the planet!! No substitute regardless of price, or how fancy the controllers look with all their "special" features.

If you can’t afford an electronic controller the Hallman manual is very good.

I have the Turbosmart eboost2 40 psi. It does allow for gear-based boost mapping or against time or rpm.
