Is anybody using a shift light if so whats the best? Andis iteasy to install?

They are fairly easy to install. Just some simple wiring and mounting the light where you please.

I have an autometer gauge and I like it. It works as a tach and/or a shift light.

 

I have the raptor shift light. Its very good. I did exactly what TacoBill did in his write up (https://mustangforums.com/m_3545524/...tm.htm#3545524). In retrospect, having the shift light mounted in the center of the dash is not the best place (although it looks really cool). Its ok most of the time and great at night but in bright sunshine I can't even see it with my peripheral. The install took me maybe 2 hrs, getting the wire thru the firewall was a real b**ch.

Some guys put it in the left AC/Heat vent. Others on the left A-pillar or inside the instrument cluster. Can't say how those locations would be to install.

 

+1 on the raptor shift light. its nice.

 

+2 on the Raptor. I have mine mounted on my SOS A pillar gauge pod.

 

+3 on the Raptor....Installed mine on the overhead console. Makes for a great heads up display......
