Default Driveline and Rearend

Got my 07 GT three weeks ago and noticed shortly after that there is slight clunk sound coming from the underneath of the car between shifts sometimes. Thought I would take a look under there to see if anything obvious stood out. First noticed that the rear end had some fluid (slight)leak around the cover gasket. So I cleaned it off and ran the car a week or so. Did find that it still has a slight leak. I will be taking it to the dealer for that since it is under warranty. While I was under there I grabbed the driveline while the car was off with it in first gear. I did notice that I could turn the driveline in either direction approx. 3/8" to 1/2". Is this normal? Could the rearend have problems associated with the fluid leak? There is no telling how long or how much fluid leaked. It has 15k miles on it. Been out of the standard trans mode for awhile so it could be me. Looking for some help because you know that dealer isn't going to do warranty work unless it is already painfully obvious. Had it to the dealer once for a ticking sound that wasn't injectors. They said it is the cam spacers and that it is normal. Any ideas on that?

The stock two piece drive shaft does have some amount of "clunk" in it. I can hear it when moving slowly and shifting, like through a neighborhood. I don't notice it accelerating - an on-ramp for example. The "ticking" sound is also normal.
