Default A.E.M. Brute Force

I have the chance to get a good deal on an A.E.M. Brute Force C.A.I. but in the picture I don't see a shield that goes around the filter to block the heat. Is this going to make a big difference in the performance? Here is the link for the picture of the part. http://www.tirerack.com/intake/aem/b...air_intake.jsp

Get an intake/tune package from brenspeed or bamachips. 550 bucks seems like a lot of money, but the tune is where you gain all the hp from. An intake alone wont net you much of a hp gain no matter what kind of deal you can get.

i read what's included and it does say it comes w/ a heat shield. but you can get better CAI than this one. i would suggest JLT or C&L, they will give you more hp gains. the JLT retails for about 200, but needs a tune with it.

+1 on getting CAI & tune combo. A CAI alone may net you 2-5 RWHP whereas the combo will net you 15-30 RWHP. Any CAI that doesn't require a tune isn't worth the $$ if you're really looking for the biggest bang-for-the-buck short of going FI.

Thanks guys the deal is good but its just a C.A.I. Its worth the extra money to just skip the deal and get a C.A.I. and tune package

yes a million times yes. as stated before get a package with intake and tune and get it from either brenspeed or bamatunes. both are repuatable sorces of tunes and whats the difference..
your aem intake will get you max 15 HP MAX
intake and tune more like 30 HP realistic and if your drive an auto it will feel like 80 HP

Didnt your daddy tell you if your gonna do it you might aswell do it right the first time??? well you should, intake/tune combo, THE WAY TO GO

As per your question, heat sheilds help yes, but a "tune required" intake (shield or no) will yeild way way more benifit then a (no tune required) like your AEM. Get a Steeda intake or a C&l or a Jlt. I like the steeda best..... thats why i bought it
