***** - So you plan is to just use the stock crank and new rods and pistons?
I have read many times the stock crank is good to about 700 hp, but is it worth it to change it out for a used cobra?
Very interested to see how this goes and who you use. Do you plan on document what you do and the costs and post them up?
Thanks,

Makes sure you get some good ARP fasteners for everything. The stockers are meant to be used one time and the ARP can be reused several times.
There's also gaskets and rings made specifically for FI applications.
Good luck with the build.

here are the results from the tear down. #8 rod bent both ways, it was bent over far enough to make contact with the crank on the edge. i dont think the crank is damaged, may need a little grinding and re balancing. bearings look brand new, cylinder walls look great. other than #8 rod being bent and the contact on the crank everything looks fine.
what do you think, would the crank be OK?
