Default Tuner Question

So what are the pros and cons of using a Ford Racing tuner vs an aftermarket? I really like the Bullit CAI as it was made just for the S197, but don't know if the ford tuner is all that. My goal is to mod my GT with only Ford Racing products. I have a 6 year, 75,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty and am a little hesitant to use the aftermarket parts. Comments welcome!

I'll hold my tongue in lieu of flaming you about warranty and other than an FRPP CAI & tune...

I'm not familiar with the FRPP tuner. If some of the guys that write tunes (Brenspeed, Bamachips, VMP) don't support the handheld, then I wouldn't get it. The FRPP tunes are not as aggressive and don't provide as much power improvement as those written by the ones I named above. So if the handheld from Ford is supported by those guys, you can buy new tunes from them at a later date assuming you want to spend more money doing it that way.

Ok, I can't stand it. I'm flaming you...
Don't be a wus about aftermarket parts. Ford cannot deny you warranty work for something that has no relationship to a failure. Besides, you're going to waste all that time worrying when you should be modding the chit out of your car.

You can buy aftermarket and keep all your stock parts. If something goes wrong, switch your car back to stock, and the dealership can't say boo about it. It's much easier to do with an intake/tuner than with many other mods available for our cars.

I got my CAI and tune six months after I got my car. My service manager told me he didn't care about my mods. It depends on the dealer. Some don't care.
