When shifting between second and third gear in my car it has a strange feel. It is difficult to explain, but second and third are not as smooth as shifting into any of the other gears. They are somewhat notchy, almost like their is a slight pause/grind before it wants to slide into gear. There is no audible noise or grind, and I don't know whether it is worth having the dealership look at it, as I doubt they will do anything about it....I have already had the 3rd gear syncro replaced due to it grinding on cold starts. Does anyone else experience this with their MT?

yeah they are not a very smooth tranny and the remote shifter mounting doesnt help

It seems like I have noticed a lot of 2008 owners complaining about there 2-3 shift. Their was another post just like this the other day and it was mostly 08 owners chiming in. My 2-3 shift is fine.

i have an 07 GT and i had the same 3rd gear synchro issue, but mine was bad enough to where 3rd gear went completely out... the only thing i can recommend is, that you get a short throw shifter as well as the CHE k-member with torque limiters... it will get rid of most of what you are feeling...

This is a well documented concern. There is a TSB to replace the 1-2 and 3-4 Synchros. I'm doing mine when the snow melts. The number is 08-9-6

Will the dealer do this for free? Mine too grinds 2 to 3 when cold.

Yeah if your still under basic waranty coverage its free.
