Jacking Up the Engine

That is the same result mustang monthly or whatever magazine got. They gained torque down low, but actually LOST hp up top. This is why shorties have such a bad name. I will take a run with my JBA shorties as soon as I get my car repaired. Then I can see if the JBAs fall off up top like the BBKs are known to do. From the looks of the few JBA dynos out there, they still make power up top, which leads me to believe that the extremely sharp bends in the BBKs limit power during high flow (high rpms).

I did make more hp and tq up top. I may not have a seen much of an increase in my peak hp, but did see 3 more rwhp and rwtq at 5800 rpm.
